Sculpting and Firing an Yixing Tea Pet

Hi,

I've been commissioned to sculpt a tea pet with Yixing clay. I just love this clay, such a pleasure to work with. I've just finished sculpting him but not sure if he should be solid or hollowed out, and not very clear on the correct way to fire.  I read the thread here on firing Yixing but the clay I purchased just said Yixing brown, no other name.  Also, does anyone have any idea on the shrinkage I can expect? Any help would be appreciated.
