Topic: Zhu Xi's "Tea Stove"

Looks like our own LaoChaGui has a guest post on Cha Dao -- another translation. Since he's apparently too modest to post it himself:

Re: Zhu Xi's "Tea Stove"

If you enjoyed my translation of Zhu Xi's poem, you will love Steve Owyoung's commentary and translation he posted in the comments section. He makes a very interesting connection explaining the relationship between tea and the stove.

Re: Zhu Xi's "Tea Stove"

I am new here. Thanks for the introduction to tea and poetry.

Re: Zhu Xi's "Tea Stove"

Tea poetry and more! I just found out what is rarely taught in college; although tea has been a part of society for centuries, we are never taught about where the oldest tea has been found. I was super excited to read that the oldest physical evidence has been found in the tomb of a Chinese emperor from 141 BC. Sometimes it is amazing to find these unbroken habits we have had for centuries!
