When first time seeing it on teachat, I called the number on the package and talked with a few people in the factory. I also asked some people in China what they think about this brand. It seems a reliable brand, the factory grew larger and larger in the past several years, hence it's products may have the features of large factory - good, reliable quality of leaves, machine processed, pretty good quality but not comparable to upscale hand-processed tea. I posted on teachat photos of another DHP product of the same brand. The paper wrapped DHP has very good price, but I couldn't find the paper wrapped product newer than 3 years old. I suspect the factory raised the price a lot in recent years and stopped producing this kind of packages. I guess currently this brand is quite over-priced compared with the small factory, non-branded products, but it's still less over-priced than large brand names like "wu yi star".
Since the tea is bought from Malaysia, I trust it's authentic (besides this brand is not the target of faking products). This package looks like at least 3 years old. The standard number starting with DB is the quality control code for Fujian province. But after 2006, brand name products of Wu Yi tea all use GB code (national standard). The authentic Wu Yi tea has GB/T18745-2006 code, which means "Wu Yi geographic patent". I compared the codes on 3 brand name tea products I have and they are exactly the same. But of course products from small factories and tea farmers don't have this code, though they usually offer the best quality/price ratio.
