Topic: wiki or google docs for translations etc.
...might be nice to setup a wiki or google docs at some point for working on translations, so that the language can be polished...
I would really like to see a google docs or Wiki set up so documents could be viewed and edited by others. I like these programs because they save all the versions of the document so there is no danger of loosing information. Wiki is nice because you can make notes without editing the text as it appears.
I wanted to open some documents on my google docs account to public editing, but I don't think that's possible. You can publish it, or you can add other users to a list of people allowed to edit. But public editing seems impossible on a private account.
One of my documents I want to open for public editing is a list of Wuyi Yancha Cultivars that I am working on compiling. I thought it would be useful to have a list people could check with the Chinese, the pinyin and some popular English renderings (sometimes there are lots). Also many cultivars have alternative names in Chinese as well. With a setup like this people could make notes on where they found the tea, different names, etc.
I would also like translations to be posted. Other people commenting on parts of the translation unclear to them would be a great help even if they didn't feel confident to edit themselves.
